Pigmented unglazed porcelain, stainless steel and silver.

Wearable planets with no gravity.

In a collective imaginary universe, stars and planets are something far, an ethereal idea of something unreachable.

Something floating with no gravity and no apparent connection, but they are connected and influencing each others, as people are in their lives. Nebula’s aim is to remember us those connections.

For a cosmic feel you can choose and wear your personal “universe”.

THE PROCESS

To achieve a light and ethereal piece, a special paper has been selected to make the “structure”.

The paper is then submerged at least 10 times in a very slurry porcelain slip in order to reach strength but a thin and light sphere. After the last layer of porcelain the piece is fired in a kiln at 1000º, then polished manually one by one, have the decorations made and fired again at high temperature (1250º).

Necklace NEBULA, assorted shapes and colors.
